“Salute Our Veterans”

A special tribute to men and women who have served in the military will take place on May 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Glendale, California. The celebration is a first in a series of planned charity events by The HYASA Center Non-Profit Organization. This organization, along with the AA Musical & Theatrical Society, (known for organizing a wide range of popular cultural events to shed light on the Armenian Performing Arts in the US and abroad) have partnered to present a memorable event for our Veterans and Military Families. Also on board is Mr. Gary Sevani, a renowned International Dance Choreographer and Director of Live Events. Mr. Sevani is passionate about producing this exciting event which will support the organization, “New Direction For Veterans” & Veterans at the Los Angeles Veteran’s Affair Medical Center.
There will be entertainment by a number of local and national artists. Gracing the stage are the following performers; Miss Golda Berkman, a fifteen year old Soprano Operatic Singer with an angelic voice who has been training with Vladimir Chernov at UCLA’s Division of Voice and Opera; “Mystro”, a Classical Pianist who has been described as the “Black Liberace” and the hidden “Gem Of Hollywood”, comes equipped with his Quartet band; Scottish Pipes & Drums are an eclectic group of traditional Scottish Bagpipe musicians who have been performing in Southern California for over 30 years; and The Pasadena Crown City Choir (the oldest existing choir chapters in the Western United States) and Mr.X, a well-known classically trained contemporary vocalist.

This event will also promote the importance of community outreach by those individuals and businesses that care about those who have served our country. This will also be a day of celebration when parents and their children can join the festivities, bringing a community are committed to supporting these brave men and women.
Our American sons and daughters have served our country honorably and with distinction. They are law abiding citizens who live and work in the community. While they served in the military, many of their family members were left with the uncertainty of their return. Let’s show them that we care.
About the HYASA CENTER
HYASA Center, located in the heart of Glendale, CA; was established in 2000 with the intent of producing charitable capital for various humanitarian based causes. They fund programs in need of immediate relief, rehabilitation and ultimately help rebuild devastated communities through philanthropic means. The HYASA Center is comprised of highly educated and generous members; whose sole purpose is to provide devastated communities in desperate need of charitable funding, provide fiscal sponsorship to organizations as well as family and youth centers, and assist a diverse range of governmental programs.
