ABOUT MOONDANCE: Join us for the 17th annual MoonDance Film Festival presented by the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) Cinematic Arts Department! You won’t want to miss this red carpet event where we premiere short student films and present awards for achievements in filmmaking by some of the biggest names in the film industry!

ABOUT LACHSA: LACHSA is a free public high school serving students all across Los Angeles County. Admission to LACHSA is based on a competitive application process including either an audition or portfolio review. LACHSA has an impressive Cinematic Arts Department, in which every afternoon students take in-depth courses ranging from theory to practical hands on training using industry-standard state-of-the-art equipment. Over the course of four years, students work in every capacity (pre-production, production, post-production) on dozens of short student films.
