LA Youth Ballet presents THE NUTCRACKER
with Joffrey Ballet Stars Jeraldine Mendoza & Dylan Gutierrez
Welcome to the enchanting world of The Nutcracker where a magic Christmas tree grows taller and taller and our young heroine vanquishes the Mouse King to save her beloved Nutcracker. Transported through swirling snowflakes and waltzing flowers, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince travel to The Land of Sweets where Russian, Chinese, Spanish and Arabian dancers, along with Mother Ginger and her children, present them with gifts. This celebration culminates in a spectacular performance in Clara’s honor by the dainty Sugar Plum Fairy and her handsome Cavalier.
Joffrey Ballet principals Jeraldine Mendoza and Dylan Gutierrez join the award-winning dancers of LA Youth Ballet for this iconic holiday tradition set to Tchaikovsky’s evocative score.
