Glendale Youth Orchestra Presents New Adventures

The Glendale Youth Orchestra (GYO) is excited to kick off our 31st season as one of Los Angeles Counties leading youth orchestra.

The GYO is happy to introduce our new Music Director and Conductor, Henry Shin. The GYO has played twice in recent years at the Walt Disney Concert Hall to great ovation. In 2011, the GYO auditioned and was selected as a PREMIER LA Phil Youth Orchestra. Our mission is based on the belief that our young people have a better chance of succeeding in their world if they appreciate and participate in its rich artistic and cultural traditions. GYO provides young musicians in grades 6-12 from all over L.A. County a unique opportunity to play classical music. The GYO has been a Resident Company of the Alex Theatre since 1995.
